Who We Are

Julie Uebler

Managing Partner

Julie A. Uebler is the managing partner of Uebler Law LLC. Julie is a “double Hoya” having received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Georgetown University, and her law degree from The Georgetown University Law Center. Julie has worked in the employment law field since she earned her law degree in 1993.

Julie spent the first part of her legal career representing employers: first, in the Philadelphia office of a large national law firm, and later as in-house counsel for a global pharmaceutical company where she had responsibility for all corporate and U.S. employment, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters.

Julie made the switch to representing individuals in 2003, opening a solo practice and later working with smaller specialized law firms in the Philadelphia region. In all, she has spent over 30 years making a difference in the work lives of individuals, protecting employee rights in the workplace, and advising executives and professionals in transition.

Julie has successfully litigated cases involving employment discrimination, discriminatory harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, wrongful discharge in violation of public policy, and violations of other statutory rights. She has also assisted numerous clients in resolving workplace disputes and claims prior to litigation, through negotiated severance and settlement agreements. In addition, Julie regularly advises executives and professionals with respect to employment matters, such as drafting and negotiating employment, executive compensation, and/or severance agreements.

Julie lives in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, with her family and two Goldendoodles.

Joyce Collier

Partner

Joyce L. Collier is an experienced advocate who has gained a unique perspective representing both employees and employers for the last thirty-three years. After making partner and co-chairing the employment department at a major Philadelphia law firm, Joyce made the switch to representing individuals in all types of employment matters in state and federal court in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

She enjoys advising executives, managers, educators, health and sales professionals, and other attorneys with respect to contract and transition issues, negotiating severance agreements and obtaining positive outcomes so that her clients can begin the next chapter of their professional career.

Collier graduated with high honors in 1988 from Rutgers School of Law after receiving the Most Promising Civil Litigator Award and the Stratton Moot Court Award. Before beginning private practice, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Clifford of the New Jersey Supreme Court where she became fascinated with the ever-changing area of employment law.

Among her most notable cases, Joyce served as co-counsel with Gloria Allred and Nathan Goldberg in representing a group of experienced female cocktail servers who were fired from a New Jersey casino because they did not fit the stereotype the casino was looking for to fit into skimpy new uniforms. In another matter, the team took on a nationally known slaughterhouse that fired a group of workers after they complained about injuries they suffered while working on high-speed production lines.

Joyce has served as an adjunct law professor at Rutgers School of Law Camden, teaching Disability Law. She is deeply committed to pro bono work and has actively served the Legal Clinic for the Disabled, located at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, as a board member, executive director and as a volunteer. She is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College and an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA). She is honored to have been selected as a Super Lawyer annually since 2012.

Joyce lives in Flourtown, Pennsylvania with her husband and terrier, Maxine. She enjoys hiking in the Wissahickon and visiting her three children.
